1. CAN WE ALSO SAY – “MASTER, IT IS DONE AS YOU COMMANDED” ??
This statement is related to when the Lord Jesus was telling the parable of the Great Supper and in urgency had commanded His servants to do the following – “‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14,21-23)

This urgency is surely increasing in these last days just before the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. The strategy of how to fill the house was given and the commandment to the servants was made clear. Lets personalise His command and expand it here:

1.) We are to GO OUT – evangelise, share the gospel of the Kingdom, preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, the only message that can save from sin, death and Hell for billions of lost souls. They were no exceptions given, it was a broad command, in obedience His servants are to go.

2.) We are to go out QUICKLY – no time to waste, no theologies of delay, no lukewarmness, slackness, sloth or complacency were permitted. Hasty action and urgency is impressed, and priority to the task is to be given. Fears are to be overcome as we are endued with power from on high. His Spirit, His anointing and His grace are sufficient for the call. And His Word does not return void but accomplishes His intended purpose.

3.) We are to go out to the STREETS & LANES OF THE CITY – We are to go out beyond our comfort zone to where the people are, to strangers, to the streets, to search them out. By all means share with those you know, but this command compels us further to strangers. And its directs us to streets and areas where people gather for entertainment and to socialise. Go share, hand out gospel tracts, He has divine appointments waiting for you.

4.) We are to BRING them IN to the KINGDOM – It is either Heaven or Hell for every soul. The stakes are very very high: Everlasting love, glory, grace, joy and peace in Heaven, or everlasting wrath, torment, suffering, fire, regret and damnation in Hell. Our call is most serious for the fate of many souls, and one which we are highly accountable for before the King.

5.) We are to bring in the POOR, MAIMED, LAME & BLIND – As those in the parable who were initially called rejected the invitation, the call went out to those considered least, physically and also spiritually. The poor and the poor in spirit, those maimed & lame in body and who have been crippled by tough blows and trials in life. The blind in sight and all those who are walking in the darkness of sin and blinded by deception, false religions and idols – these are all to be invited.

6.) When we have obeyed and got busy, the Master commands us to go further again, this time to HIGHWAYS AND HEDGES – our work continues to til the job is finished & the house is full. We are to go further, out to those walking down the highway or the broad road to destruction in lawlessness & open rebellion, and to those hiding from God behind the hedges of unbelief, modernism, intellect, hurts, fears or lies. If we consider this command in full, who then would not be included in it! The gospel is to go to all people everywhere, one to one, in churches, outreaches, online, Facebook, Twitter, missions trips, etc etc into  all the world.

7.) It is not a casual invitation, we are to COMPEL THEM – The message is to be given with much conviction & compassion, compelled by His love, in the power and leading of His Spirit. Compel them also implies the message is to be given in the Kings authority, in the full force of its message, the full gospel of Christ crucified. We are to proclaim the truth of faith, hope, love, grace, salvation and Heaven, and also warn about sin, repentance, judgment, wrath, Hellfire and damnation. Yes compel them!

LASTLY, consider this message shared by Angelica Zambrano in her first Testimony of Heaven and Hell, while in Heaven –> “Everything was so beautiful, so brilliant, like shining glass, it was absolutely supernatural, inexplicable! We saw heavenly mansions, and watched thousands of angels constructing them. Some of the angels constructed very rapidly, others constructed slowly and others were not constructing at all. I asked the Lord, “Why are some angels constructing rapidly, while others are slower, and some have those stopped constructing?” The Lord explained, “Daughter, that is how My people work on Earth, and the angels work as My children work on Earth….Daughter, My people no longer spread the gospel. My people no longer fast. My people no longer go to the streets to distribute tracts telling the truth. My people are now ashamed. Go and tell My people to return to the old paths. Those angels that you saw that were doing nothing belong to those people that have walked away from My paths…Daughter, go and tell My people to return to the old paths,” (Jeremiah 6:16) and in saying this He started to weep.”

CAN WE ALSO SAY – “MASTER, IT IS DONE AS YOU COMMANDED” ??

In His grace, love & power, let it be so, now & until His house is full.

2. PERSIST IN THE CALL

Everyday there are many things to do and everyday many souls are falling into Hell. Oh what to do? Do your shopping and also win souls. Do your cleaning and also go preach the gospel. Look after your family and go witness. Eternity beckons!! Share the truth today. Jesus saves. Who will go tell them?

— HOW then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And HOW shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And HOW shall they hear without a preacher? And HOW shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “HOW beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Rom 10,10-14) — now HOW ABOUT YOU?? Will you go preach the gospel to save souls??

4. Be Encouraged to look beyond mans limitations to fulfil the call of God on your life.

JOHN WESLEY –> “God in Scripture commands me, according to my power, to instruct the ignorant, reform the wicked, confirm the virtuous. Man forbids me to do this in another’s parish; that is, in effect, not to do it at all, seeing I have now no parish; of my own, nor probably ever shall. Whom, then, shall I hear, God or man? …I look upon all the world as my parish; thus far I mean that, in whatever part of it I am, I judge it meet, right, and my bounden duty to declare unto all that are willing to hear the glad tidings of salvation. This is the work which I know God has called me to and sure I am that his blessing attends it.”

9. ZEAL AND ACTION

It is a tremendous shame if cults such as the Mormon’s and JW’s (watchtower) are more active in recruiting for falsehood than Christians are in sharing the true gospel. They are out there in public actively talking to strangers making them more lost & hell bound. But how about you who know the truth, where is your zeal and faith in action? Will you seek out those lost sheep with the only message that can save them? 

Luke 14:23 … “Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

No time to delay, just obey, He is on the way!

11. THERE IS POWER IN THE WORD OF GOD

Preacher Charles Spurgeon was inspecting a new empty hall he was considering using for a church and to test the acoustics he yelled out “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1,29). Unknown to him a workman was on the roof and upon hearing these words was struck with conviction of his sin and need for the Savior. He soon bowed to pray and surrendered his life to Jesus.

The word of God is powerful !! And today is another day to lift up the Savior Jesus Christ to lost souls teetering on the wrong edge of eternity. Lets not be silent with so much at stake.

TELL SOMEBODY ABOUT JESUS TODAY – SHARE THE GOSPEL

– John 3:14-15 … “and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

12.  EXCUSES FOR NOT EVANGELISING —> REBUTTED
—- Is one of these holding you back?

1.) Im shy, afraid to speak to people, lack power and dont know what to say —> “you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me” (Acts 1, 8) and “From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt 4,17) & “when I came to you, I did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (1Cor2,1-5)

2.) I dont have an impressive testimony to share —> Then just preach the word of God, that is the main message anyway

3.) I tried but people dont seem interested and I see no results —> “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” (Mark 4, 26-29) .

4.) Im on a healing journey so need to focus on that —> Then share with others who have also been wounded and need that same healing. Love shares.

5.) Im just focussed on resting in God and not striving in works —> Jesus said if we abide in Him we will bear much fruit. So rest in His anointing and go preach in obedience in the power and leading of His Spirit.

6 & 7.) I dont feel the call to evangelise, and/or I`ll just speak if God opens a door and they ask me about my faith —> Jesus commanded us, His disciples, to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel”. There is no plan B. We are to go, not wait for them to come to us. To disobey is sin. In our obedience there there must be no delay tactics.

8.) Im in sin and my life isnt a good witness —> Ok but repent. Get right with God lest your name be blotted out of the Book of Life. It is better to have never known the way of righteousness than to turn back. Repent or perish, and then get back to obeying your calling.

9.) I dont really care about the lost —> In the words of Charles Spurgeon: “Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you’re not saved yourself, be sure of that!'”

10.) I have no excuse, Ive surrendered and am active in preaching His word to the lost —> “Well done good and faithful servant”, keep it going in His power, leading, anointing. “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching….. be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” (2Tim4,1-5)

LETS GO!! – PREACH THE GOSPEL, SHARE HIS TRUTH, BEAR WITNESS TO JESUS CHRIST

13. GOSPEL TRUTH – REVEALED OR CONCEALED ??

Politicians are generally known to be skilled at winning people by giving unrealistic visions and promises that cant be kept, but that later leave many disillusioned and hardened.

Likewise a Christian can try to sell all the benefits of the gospel but withhold the unpalatable conditions of discipleship in order to win a convert, but which will likely lead to later disappointment and backsliding. Such is not the way of truth or the example of Christ who spoke the full truth in love. He even told people to count the cost before deciding to follow Him. Lets ensure to do likewise.

So soul winners:
– Preach salvation but also warn of damnation
– Preach forgiveness but also repentance from sin
– Preach Heaven and warn of Hell
– Preach love and warn of wrath
– Preach reconciliation but also the cross
– Preach Christ and exclude all other ways
– Preach grace and also righteousness and holiness
– Preach sonship and also disciplship and obedience
– Preach His first coming and also readiness required at His second

Luke 9:23-26 … JESUS said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.

14. SLEEPY SAINTS or FAITHFUL LABOURERS

“He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.” (Prov 10,5) — All around us are people blindly abiding in the wrath of God, unsaved and lurking on the edge of Hell, yet many in the church are asleep to evangelism and the invitation to Heaven remains concealed behind laziness or fear. We cannot be the silent saints who bring shame, but must honor the Father in sharing His word labouring in the harvest. Ensure to Invite someone to Heaven today!!

— John 3,36 …”He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
